Tuesday 29th July
I though i would start with a couple of pics of ant and i in the morning, on the left my beloved, always so cheery in the morning, but isn't he cute in his teddy, and on the right me! ant took this picture, he said he wanted to get my sexy legs in!! So to start the day i was expecting our friend Tony at ten this morning as he needed a birthday card for his beloved, Jackie, and Jacqui who lives in the village here makes them, i also needed a card for Jackie so i said we could head over together and see what she had got. He arrived on time and we headed over and picked a couple, then we set off to Le Parq to pick up Mark and go shopping, and do other sundry tasks. Ant decided he wanted to stay home and do some work in the garden.
After shopping we went back to Le Parq for coffee, i took some pictures for the blog, they are; Tony and David sorting out some canes, David's lovely garden, and then again the garden looking towards the house, and finally Mark.
By the time i got home i had been out for four hours and ant was getting a bit concerned, but what a difference he had made in the garden, he had weeded the entire veg patch, something i had been putting off for ages, and it now looks like a veg patch should. Tony stayed for coffee then i went to dig out some potatoes for him, as i was doing this Dave, the owner of Fen and Tally arrived to pay us for keeping the dogs, he stood and chatted for another hour or so and also took some potatoes with him, we have a bit of a glut at the moment.
Once everyone had departed i discussed some garden furniture i had seen at Carrefore with ant, he procrastinated as per so in the end i decided we would just go and look at it, we ended off buying a new table, six chairs, an umbrella and six cushions, it was quite a struggle to get them all in the fiesta but we managed. I mowed the back lawn and we set it all up, finally we have a nice place to sit out on summer evenings. So we sat for a while, ant brought out a couple of beers, i said we should invite Janinne over for an apero, its ages since we have had anyone over for one, he didn't want to but i persuaded him and we asked if she wanted to come over, which she did. We all sat out till about ten in the evening, it was starting to get a little cold by then, chatting away in french, i finally got irais, aurais and saurias correct so was quite pleased with myself. Janinne set of home, we sat out for a while longer, then headed off to bed merry, yet again!!
